Standard General Edmonton is a major civil construction contractor that has served the Greater Edmonton Region for over 50 years. We build major public roadways, private developments and industrial projects, with a core focus on road construction and material sales.

As part of the Colas Group of Companies—the world leader in road construction—we can invest in technology and innovation to deliver the safest, most efficient solutions in the industry.

At peak construction season we employ up to 400 people, including engineers, technologists, accountants, mechanics, tradespeople, equipment operators, truck drivers, administrative staff and labourers. We are proud to be part of the communities where we live and work.

Standard General Edmonton is vertically integrated, which allows us to complete high-quality work efficiently and on schedule. We operate asphalt plants in Acheson and Leduc, and extract gravel from our Windfall Gravel Pit near Whitecourt, Alberta. We transport this gravel by rail to our Acheson transload facility for distribution to our plants and depots across the Greater Edmonton Region.
