Standard General was pleased to be involved with the construction of the largest single roadway infrastructure project in the City of Edmonton’s history – The Anthony Henday Ring Road.
We have played many roles in the various projects related to the construction of this project both as a Sub Contractor and as a General Contractor and these projects required massive quantities of materials and thousands of manhours to complete.
Standard General’s construction forces has been involved both as a general and subcontractor to many of the projects pertaining to the Anthony Henday Ring Road.
Details of some of the select projects that we have been involved in with the Anthony Henday are as follows:
Anthony Henday and Stony Plain Road Interchange
The Anthony Henday and Stony Plain Road Interchange project spans from the intersection of Anthony Henday Drive and Whitemud Drive to the CN Rail overpass just north of 111th Avenue. Standard General was the General Contractor for this project.
Standard General Inc. provided 2,100,000 m3 of Rough Grading, 456,000 m2 subgrade prep and 275,000 tonne Granular Basecourse. Paving area includes 257,000 m2 using 210,000 tonne of pavement. Concrete work includes 710 m3 for Curb Gutter, Sidewalk and Median.
Rabbit Hill Road Ramps
Standard General acted as the General Contractor for the Anthony Henday Drive Rabbit Hill Hill Road North Ramps, in the South Terwilliger area of Edmonton. This project included 16,250 tonnes of gravel, 1,700 m3 of concrete and over 6,000 tonnes of asphalt.
Anthony Henday Drive / Windermere Boulevard South Ramps
Standard General acted as the General Contractor for the Anthony Henday / Windermere Boulevard South Ramps. This project inlcluded over 19,000 tonnes of gravel, 1,500 m3 of concrete and over 8,000 tonnes of asphalt.
